Held Hostage

America is being held hostage by the very people we allowed to get into office.
Why are they here?
Democrats did not vote in the midterm elections.
This has been the norm, so the media has assured us. The mid term elections are not important.
All politicians are the same.

Why vote?

Does what has happened so far since midterms answer that?
Do you want to lose the rights that we have fought so hard for the last hundreds + years?

Do you agree with the legislation that is being passed across the country against women, against poor people, against our children.

Did you realize, when you couldn't be bothered to vote, that you would lose Social Security, Medicare, education, research, medicaid, food stamps, unemployment insurance - those programs which you support your whole working life.
Now if you cannot work, those are the very programs the Republicans and T party wants to ruin, destroy, end. The ones that are supposed to be the Americans safety net. The net they want to cut/slash/destroy.

Whose fault is this?
Who did not vote in the last election?
Do You hear us now?

Republican Platform

Are we watching the policies, or listening to the hype?

So far, the republicans and the Democrats have shown some of their true colors. As have the T-Partiers. It is difficult to believe.
What is totally odd, is that apparently the Republican voter wants their representatives to :

A- restrict rights of women ( according to Governor Rick Perry of Texas, this is an emergency legislation, to be acted on before jobs bills can be considered)

B- bust up the unions ( a matter of budgetary concern, according to Governor Wilson of Wisconsin, and, apparently all of the Republican officeholders in Wisconsin. Which, for some unfathomable reason were voted in. This was a budgetary concern, until the Democrats refused to participate in the vote. Then it was decided in order to strip people of their constitutional rights, it ‘became’ non-budgetary. And was passed anyway. That is Real representation. Congratulations on your apparently voted in representation, Wisconsin.)

C- Create a health care system that will allow you to become sick - but within limits. Via the ‘voucher system” you get so many vouchers to pay a PRIVATE Insurance company for insurance. Any price they want to charge you after that, you pay for. (This will help to weed out the very sickly, and very poor. They will not have any access to medical treatment, so they will most likely die. The thought behind this? If you are not wealthy enough to buy insurance, and too sick to work, you should die and take the burden of your poor, sick self off society. In this case, the society of the well to do.)

D- Cut funding for the schools. This is related to B. We can save oodles of money by only partially funding our schools. After all, if you educate the populace to much, they may just realize that they have an absolute right to vote, to choose what they want done with their money the government has collected from them in the form of taxes and fees. We have a right to have a say in how they spend our money, whether it is stuck in a “rainy day” Fund or in the Governors personal ‘stimulus fund’ that no one can look at or audit. Or is it just Governor Rick Perry of Texas that has his own, personal, hands off slush fund while the state of Texas is 27 billion in debt?

E-Do away with unemployment insurance - if you are without a job, you should not just stay at home sucking up that fabulous unemployment insurance. After all, it pays about 2/3 of what you got at your regular job. If you really want a job, you can always get one at the local greasy spoon. If you cannot cook, wait tables or wash dishes (for less than min wage. Often these jobs go to illegal’s who get paid under the table. That’s totally good for our country, huh?) not to worry. Aluminum is being bought for 23cents a pound. Pick up cans.

F- Do away with rights to unimpeded travel. - don’t even mention the airlines, even driving down the road, you are subject to be stopped at any time and asked for your drivers license, registration, proof of insurance. Then you are grilled about where you are going, where you have been, and why. After which you are interrogated about the possibilities of your hauling meth, or coke, or some other sort of narcotic. When you assure the police officer that no, indeed you are not, you are then asked if it is alright for them to search your car. This is after they have- looked through the back window, the side window, the drivers window, and more than likely, stuck their head in to look around. Just what kind of search do they need to be doing? How bad are the American people, anyway? If you happen to know your rights, which everyone should, but many do not ( see item D) and tell them no way, they proceed to detain you and send for a doggy officer to search anyway. Where do you see a problem with this? After all, it is called being ‘tough’ on crime.
G- Believe that waterboarding and other tortures are not torture if they use them. They also mistakenly believe that valuable information is gleaned by this tactic, despite a multitude of evidence it does not.

H Lower tax rates for corporations and the wealthy.

E Keep giving subsidies to companies that are profiting billions and billions of dollars a year off of the American People.

Need more? With these people in office, there is surely more to come.

#Wisconsin #Union vs. #GOP?

As it turns out, this is not really about Wisconsin, not especially about the Unions, either. This is about the control of the working population in the United States of America.
The land of the free…it appears is only free when you are very rich.
A lot of people look down on the union, blaming unions for making prices higher, for the manufacturing to move overseas to seek cheaper workers. It would seem that many people do not understand that if someone doesn’t stand up for the working people, especially unions, all people who work and earn any wage at all are at risk. The reason you have a living wage now is not because of the companies good heart, not because management saw that you and your children had to work sixteen hours a day for food and shelter, not because they did not know.
The companies do not care. The company is only in business to make profit, if it comes at the expense of your life, too bad, so sad, there are more starving people where you come from.
The company does not even care if it is making profit. It want to make more, companies are greedy by their very nature. If they can make a penny more off you, they do not care if you go without heat. Companies have no conscience.

The only way to keep companies and corporations from exploiting all peoples is to be united. The only way to fight money is to overpower it with people. The only way to secure your rights, what few we have left, is to protest, to strike, to stop work. If you want that to be successful, you must get more than one person or two involved. You must have thousands. Hence, a union to protect peoples rights.

Why have we let the powers that be in power? How could have so many so-called sane people voted for them? I know in our case, we did not. But the voting machines say we do. The machines were proven to be rigged before, what would make Americans believe it hasn’t been so again.. What they got by with once, they will attempt to do so again. These are the people that are running and ruining our lives.
What is absolutely amazing is that so many people are still so stupid that they believe what these paid mercenaries are telling them. Rather like the old adage, if you tell someone something long enough, and with enough emphasis, they will believe you, even when it is patently obvious it is against their own best interests.

Well, we had traitors in the Revolutionary war that sided with England. Now, we have traitors in the civil war with the Rich Autocrats, would be dictators who are well on their way.
It started with Reagan, and continues to this day.
When are Americans going to wise up and say no more?
