This year, Easter and 420 fell on the same day.
420 Fests abounded as this is the first 420 that marijuana was legal in years and years. Most of us cannot remember when no one was opposed to the use of Hemp.
Many learned in school about a few of the things hemp could make. Hardly anyone learned all of the things that can be made from hemp.
Now, we are worrying about researching the uses of hemp, much to the chagrin of multiple corporations.
Oil is especially upset with the reemergence of hemp as a natural resource, as virtually everything that can be made from oil, or any other fossil fuel, can be made better with much less environmental impact, and more economically than fossil fuels have ever been, or are capable of being.
Hemp doesn't need filters, doesn't destroy land, air or water resources. It doesn't leak methane, and every part of the plant can be used. Even the seeds are nutritious and delicious food.
While the medicinal qualities are well documented, and well known by many, there is a vested interest in keeping people uninformed and misinformed.
Unfortunately for this humble weed, vested interests have billions of dollars to buy or attempt to buy both political policies and public opinion.
Truly, in the case of hemp and it's cousin marijuana, the world has undergone an attempted mind wipe by the oil, coal, gas, pharmaceutical, plastics, textile and paper companies. These and many more are threatened by the hemp plant. Unfortunately for them, people are becoming more educated and realize at the very least hemp is a harmless product that could very well make a lot of money for a lot of people. Starting with the farmer, and is a much much cheaper and better product than is presently available.
Education will stop the inroads enemies of hemp have made into politics and the influence of money into our government.
Hopefully, the enlightenment of the American People will come soon enough to save the human race.If the huge corporations that stand against it wins, we will all lose.
