We are condemning our children

We are condemning them to a lifetime of failure.

We are condemning them to a world full of uneducated, illiterate children

We are condemning them to poverty

We are condemning them to jails

We are condemning them to a hopeless future filled with all the wrong things.

We are condemning them to a life without. Music. Art. History.

You think it is bad now? Wait until the budget cuts really kick in. there is a budget shortfall built into the system already. Years ago the budget was sabotaged by the Republicans governing Texas at that time.

This shortfall will only get worse.

Why?

The people in power are refusing to pay their taxes, sucking up as much ad they can of the taxpayers money in the form of subsidies, polluting our atmosphere, our water, our earth for the almighty dollar. Ant we don’t even get any of the dollars.

They are reserved for the very richest.

But that is another subject.

Our children are not getting the funding they need let alone the funding they deserve.

We can fund the bridge across the lake to literally nowhere, but we have to cut funding for our children?

We can spend millions to refurbish the Governors’ mansion, but we have to close schools?

We can pay oil companies to take our money and raise our prices, but we cannot have music or the arts in our classrooms?

We subsidize the power plants to take our money and pollute our atmosphere. We give them billions of dollars for research, and the best they can come up with it to ‘bury the gas underground?’ and ‘how to make money off of filthy coal without people knowing that filthy coal is lignite”

They make quite enough profit off our backs as it is.

Take away all their subsidies.

They don’t need them. They use them to buy our politicians and to repress our children and us.

They use them to keep us in slavery.

They use them to imprison those who do not agree with them. They use them to condemn to death people who need transplants.

Why are we allowing this? The people who live in this country absolutely can afford to take care of its children, its seniors, its disabled.

Not while we are supporting the filthy rich at the same time.

The Republicans rejoiced when they defeated the Democrats tax bill. The one that would raise taxes on the very wealthy 3%, remember, all you people who voted Republican?

This was such a huge victory.

For the super rich.

It was certainly not a victory for our children.

It was not a victory for the seniors.

It was not a victory for the disabled.

Who’s fault is it?

That is obvious.

Does it matter?

Not at this time.

What does?

Who are we going to support? Who are we going to vote for?

Our children, our grandchildren?

Or the politicians who got us here by selling us out to the mega rich, while micromanaging our personal lives, deregulating businesses so they could screw over their customers better, and then believing we are so stupid that we will believe it when they say they are for ‘small government’.

This is a lie.

The only ‘small government’ they are for is the government that has just overseen the systematic looting of the American people for the last 50 years of Republican agenda.

Wake up, people. Or your children just may not.
