While Egypt struggles for their freedom, and National Signing Day is here for football, much of America is shivering in the freezing cold.
Even though it is the second winter in a row that snow has shut down airports, we still do not seem to be prepared.
It does seem that climate change is coming faster than we will adapt to it. Many still do not believe that it is here. Don't worry, the doubting Thomas-es will soon be convinced.
In the meantime, we have rolling blackouts, total electrical failures, and frigid temperatures to contend with.
What actually boggles my mind a bit(not much seeing as so many seem so dead set against the poor and elderly) that they let Senior Citizens homes, residences who have elderly and babies, freeze in the cold while they worry that businesses cannot do business because of the electric failure.
How many people will freeze to death in their homes while the rolling blackouts continue? How many homeless will not make it through this night, let alone this winter?
Do we know?
Will we know??
Does anyone even care???
The electric was off for hours at my child's school. Something they did not seem to think the parents should be made aware of, evidently, as no one called. There was no heat on the bus either, when the children finally came home from a freezing school, and an ice covered freezing bus they were very, very cold.
So when the children start hitting the Drs and Hospital emergency rooms with pneumonia, perhaps the great politicians who are supposedly looking out for us, can cut more out of health care and medicaid, after all, we cannot afford to keep people alive and healthy.
Certainly not our kids.
Par for their course, and another mind boggler.
