Climate change deniers are like the birthers. No matter who says it is happening, they do not believe it. No matter who says Hawaii is part of the US, they are not buying it. No belief in science, though they use it every day. Just odd.
Fracking is causing earthquakes, Natural gas wells leak methane, 24 7, tar oil cannot be cleaned up, is toxic to humans and animals, coal dumps millions of gallons of sludge into rivers poisoning them. Who wants clean, renewable energy?
Solar
Hydro
Hemp
Tidal
Wind
Geothermal
How many natural sources do we need to stop us from digging up the bones of our ancestors? When will we get out of the graveyards of the dinosaurs?
Don't tell me it is to expensive.
We spend far more on war for oil than going entirely renewable would cost.
Job losses?
You can't outsource the jobs from green energy, they pretty much are done on site, and green energy creates more jobs than oil or coal could even dream of.
The only reason we are not into green energy is because a very few, very rich people do not want us to be free of the control that monopolistic power sources give to them.
Even green energy can be raised to be so expensive a person can't buy it, or so they say.
Unfortunately for oil and coal, you can make your own solar panels, your own windmills, and do it for thousands of dollars less.
Doing so not only improves our atmosphere, it also takes a little bit of the control away from the big corporations who have a monopoly on our power.
Having, for example, solar energy for your home helps spread the power around so it is not so vulnerable to power failures, whether it be intentional or storm driven.
