I watched Prez Obama's speech last night. There were some points in it that absolutely needed to be made. What with all the "Did he do a good speech"ifying, I have yet to see anything definitive about what he did say.
Sometimes the press just counts the standing ovations, how many times a word was spoken, and all the trivia that doesn't mean squat.
However, in this persons view, we do not need to be giving oil companies a subsidy. I am all for using this money for research on renewable, cheap energy. It is the least they can contribute, and I do mean the least.
There are more points to be made, but this is one that has been a long time coming. I just hope he can put it through, at least we will know who has been bought out by the oil companies and doesn't care who knows about it.
It will be interesting.
